Sending us your files by e-Mail :
We have been receiving more and more work by e-Mail lately as people become more computer savvy.
e-Mail is an easy and effective way to save time, hassle and surprises. Unfortunately as with all technology there are some things to be aware of when using this format.
The best format to use if you e-Mail us your work is PDF ( Adobe Acrobat Files ) due to the small file size and the fact that all fonts, graphics and details can be embedded into the file. This makes for a faster and easier print job, saving us time and you money.
The hardest thing we have to deal with is FONT problems. If we open your work in most of our programs and don't have the exact FONT you used our software will try and guess the best replacement. Now this can cause extra lines to be added to your work, changing the layout as the FONT will be a different SIZE, SHAPE and have different CHARACTER SPACING. The worst part is you may not even like the new FONT at all.
Some ways around this problem are to try to use well known FONTS like Arial, Times New Roman, Tahoma of Swiss or include the FONTS you used with the work you send to us.
Here at Blueprint Imaging we currently have 7772 FONTS installed and we still strike the odd document where we can't match a FONT.
